Independence Day
Independence Day-2018
India is celebrating its 72nd Independence day on Aug 15th, 2018. Every school and institution in India celebrate this day by hoisting the tri-color flag and saluting the heroes of yesterday and today. It is a practice for one of the students to deliver a small speech on Independence Day.
On this day it is the duty of young Indians like us, who have born in this free India to pay homage to our leaders and forefathers who have been the backbone of freedom struggle and have got us freedom after a span of 200 years. It is our duty to keep in mind the sacrifices made by many, the struggles faced by all to achieve this freedom.
India has come a very long way in the path of freedom. We are the largest democracy in the world and in the recent past, we have many Indians who have made all the Indians very proud. Right from Golden girl PT Usha many sports people have proved themselves in the world arena and have made heads turn towards Indian sports people.
Not only in the world of sports but also in many fields, we have great people proving to the world that India is not developing but is on the verge of becoming a developed country. Though in many fields we are yet to attain full and complete development, every year we are making our steps of progress to reach the goal.
We the students of India have to fulfill the dream of our ex-President, Dr. Abdul Kalam, in making India the most powerful nation in the world by the year 2020. It is our duty to keep our eyes, ears, and senses open and observe all that is happening around us and when it is our day, we should all ensure that we have a corrupt free and green India. We should learn to respect our country, our flag, and our anthem.
So how can we Indians let go off this momentous day in normalcy and not celebrate this historic day with great pomp and show. So on this day of great historical importance, our prime minister visits Red Fort and hoists the Indian National Flag or our Tricolor (Tiranga). Post that the national anthem is being sung. It is then followed by a stirring speech delivered by our prime minister to the people of its country. Now, the 72ndIndependence Day will be celebrated on August 15th, 2018. The whole sight looks so spectacular and mesmerizing that we can’t help but remain in awe while witnessing the whole ceremony.
On this day, along with you all, I salute all the war heroes and command soldiers and happiness.
we all should take a pledge that it is our duty to keep our steps strongly and firmly to make all the dreams of our elders and forefathers about our nation come true.
Jai Hind
